Garden Wall And Attached Outbuildings To West Of Barningham Park

The garden wall and attached outbuildings to the west of Barningham Park date from the 18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. The structure is built of rubble with cut dressings, and the outbuildings have stone slate roofs. The tall wall extends west from a 20th-century garage located at the north-west corner of Barningham Park, steps north, and continues to the north-west corner of the garden. There are attached pent outbuildings on the north side of each section of the wall.

The eastern section of the wall features flat coping, while the western section has chamfered coping. The eastern outbuilding includes boarded doors on the north side and an old half-glazed door set in a keyed round arch, flanked by 12-pane sash windows, all within stone surrounds on the south side. In the center section of the wall, there is a wrought-iron gate set in an irregular-block surround beneath a moulded cornice. The western outbuilding has small sash windows and a boarded door in a stone surround on the north side, as well as a doorway in an architrave that now opens into a greenhouse on the south side.

The pent greenhouse is not considered to be of special interest.
