6/10 Cargreen Cottage -

GV II

House. C17 or earlier, E end early c19. Timber frame on a plastered brick sill, roughcast, white weatherboarded W gable. White weatherboarded E part. Steep thatched roof with dormer window cut in at eaves. Lower pitched slate roof to E end. A 1½ storeys, 2-cell house facing S with internal chimney and early C19 2-storeys E extension with internal E gable chimney and small 2-storeys gabled rear wing. 3 windows front. 2-light flush casement windows with small panes alternating with hooded doorways now similarly glazed. Battened door in middle into E end of lower part, with dormer a little to left of door. Older part has an axial beam and open fireplace to main room and narrow W parlour with a fireplace added later.
