Description

Well Cottage is a house dating to the 17th century, with additions made in 1865. It is timber-framed and has white weatherboard cladding, covered by a steep thatched roof. The house has a 1½-storey, three-cell plan with end chimneys, facing east. Three dormer windows, each with a two-light casement, are built into the thatch at the eaves. A lean-to porch, also weatherboarded and thatched, is centrally located on the older south side of the house, with two windows to the left and one to the right. A pair of windows are present on the north side. Flush two-light casement windows with small panes are found throughout.
