Description

Farmhouse at Mentley Farm, dating from the early 18th century, is constructed of red brick and features a steeply pitched slate roof. The building is two and a half storeys high and has five windows on its north-facing side. It has a double-pile end-chimneys plan and a symmetrical front, which includes two flat-topped dormers set behind a parapet. There are raised bands at both the floor and eaves levels, and the windows are anti flush box sash style, set under segmental arches with 6/6 panes. The central entrance features a six-pane door within a moulded doorcase, topped by a flat canopy supported by projecting brackets.
