TL 01 SW NETTLEDEN WITH NETTLEDEN POTTEN END (South side)

Farmhouse, now a private house. Early C18, raised to 2 storeys and greatly enlarged to rear mid C18, C20 E wing. Documented as home of Gash family since 1756 who were village blacksmiths. Red brick, partly once painted, with moulded wooden eaves cornice and steep hipped old red tile roofs. A 2-storeys house facing N, set back from road, 3-windows wide. Flush C18 casement windows with rectangular leaded panes and iron plate casements. 8-panel door between 1st and 2nd windows from W with wooden doorcase. Open pediment on carved trusses with cusped cross-member. Formerly single-storey end-chimneys plan altered by adding another storey and parallel rear wing with staircase, cellar, and low dairy at SW half underground with low pantry over in depth of ground floor. Straight joint on W end marks extension.
