Farmhouse, now house. Early C18, altered and enlarged. Handmade red brick in random bonds, with sandstone dressings, stone slate roof. Rectangular plan made double-depth by early addition to rear under same roof. Two storeys and 6 bays, with cellars and attics; almost symmetrical; prominent dripmould, unusual separate chamfered quoins; in 4th bay a wooden doorcase with carved consoles, altered cornice; vertical rectangular windows on both floors with flat-arched gauged brick heads, the 1st, 3rd and 5th blocked with modern brick and others with altered glazing; stone gable coping with kneelers, large 3-flue gable chimneys partly corbelled out, with diagonal centre flues; rear slope of roof raised to shallower pitch and carried down over rear wall of 2 lower storeys, which is of less interest. Interior altered.
