Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It dates from the early 18th century and has been altered and extended in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of painted brick in English bond and features an old tile gabled roof.
Originally, it had a four-cell central staircase plan, but it has since been extended to the west and north, resulting in an irregular shape at the rear. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has two chimneys with offset heads and clay pots; one chimney projects from the gable on the right, while the other, similar in style, is now enclosed within an extension on the left. The front of the house showcases 18th and 19th century sash windows with glazing bars, while the rear has 19th and 20th century casement windows.
The south entrance front features a projecting brick plinth, a platband at the first floor level, and part moulded wooden eaves. The facade is arranged in four bays, with the left bay being part of the 19th century extension. There is gauged brick above the windows and a planked door situated between the second and third bays, which is sheltered by a bracketed cornice hood. The interior has not been inspected.
