Description

The property comprises a circa 1850 development of single villas and pairs of villas located on Churchfields. There are five pairs of similar villas and one single villa (number 30) situated at the north end. The villas are constructed with stuccoed facades, topped with hipped slate roofs. Each property has two storeys and generally six windows, although the outer window bays, which contain the kitchens, are set back and feature long-and-short quoins on their outer edges. A floor band runs across the facades. Square Tuscan porches are present, some of which have been altered. The half-glazed doors have round-headed lights, although those at numbers 24, 28 and 30 have been modified. Sash windows are fitted with moulded architrave surrounds and sill brackets. Villa number 30 features a central porch and a recessed bay on the south side. Inside, the houses have staircases with unusual claw terminals. A modern garage has been added to number 14.
