Description
Belle Vue is a large, symmetrical house built around 1850. It is constructed of yellow stock brick with stucco dressings and features a slate hipped roof. The building has three storeys and a cellar, with three windows on the front. A detached Ionic porch enhances the entrance, which includes a round-headed door arch and door panels. The ground floor windows have bracketed sills and cornices, while the first and second floors are adorned with moulded architrave surrounds. A floor band runs across the façade, and original sash windows with margin lights are present on all floors. The house also has long-and-short, chamfered quoins and deep plain eaves. On the north elevation, there is a one-window bay that shares the same architectural details. Additionally, two footscrapers are located by the steps.
