Description

This is a villa dating from around 1850, built in the style of St John’s Wood properties. It’s constructed of yellow stock brick with stucco dressings and a hipped slate roof, featuring a wide eaves cornice. The house is two storeys high. The main, symmetrical block has three windows, and a slightly recessed, mid-to-late 19th-century addition on the north side has one window. It has thin-glazing-bar sash windows set within moulded architraves, and a door with a hood supported by heavy console brackets. Chimneys are located at each end of the building. It was part of a wider development initiated by Squire Bosenquet from around 1840.
