Description

New River Bridge, built in 1868, is a cast iron bridge supported by brick. It features deep, horizontal beams that are adorned with architrave and plinth mouldings, along with a date plaque on the eastern side. The bridge is complemented by cast iron railings that have octagonal end-posts topped with palmette and ball designs. This structure is recognized as an exceptional example of a bridge on the New River.
