Description

Two pairs of semi-detached villas, located at 34-37 Queens Grove, were constructed in the mid-19th century. The facades are largely of pebble dash render, with number 34 being stuccoed. The buildings have hipped slated roofs, bracketed eaves, and central chimney stacks. They extend over three storeys, incorporating semi-basements. Each villa features two windows per floor, with a single-window, two-storey entrance bay.

Doorways at numbers 35 and 37 are flanked by pilasters that support an entablature with a dentil cornice. The doorways have overlights and panelled doors. The doorways at numbers 34 and 36 have been altered in the 20th century. Composite pilasters extend through the ground and first floors, supporting an entablature with a dentil cornice at the second-floor level. The windows are architraved sashes; the ground-floor sashes have margin glazing, and console-bracketed cornices. Villas 34 and 35 have blind boxes to the ground floor, while number 37 retains cast-iron balconies. The interiors have not been inspected.
