Description
This listing covers a group of three houses on Station Road, Stansted Mountfitchet. They are timber-framed buildings with plastered walls, likely dating to the 17th-18th centuries, although the external appearance was updated in the 19th and 20th centuries. The front of the houses is decorated with pargeted panels, a 20th-century addition. The houses have two storeys and a five-window front, featuring casement windows, some of which are 19th-century iron casements with glazing bars. A small 19th-century shop front, complete with pilasters and cornice, is located at the south end. The roofs are tiled with old tiles, and a gambrel roof is present at the south end.
