Description

No 1 is a 19th century red brick house located on Lower Street in Stansted Mountfitchet. It is two storeys high and features a three-window range with double-hung sashes that have vertical glazing bars. The ground storey includes a 19th century shop front at the south end, which has panelled pilasters, a fascia, and a cornice. At the north end of the building, there is a cart entrance. The roof is covered with slate.
