Description
Shamrock Cottage is a house dating from the 15th century, featuring one storey and attics. It has a 'hall' block and a two-storey cross-wing on the west side. The building is timber framed and plastered, with a half-hipped roof at the east end, while the cross-wing has a hipped roof with a gablet to the south and a gabled end to the north, all covered in peg tiles. There is a lean-to porch with a peg tiled roof in the southeast corner and a gabled dormer in the 'hall' roof. The windows are 20th-century casements, and there are two 20th-century red brick stacks above the inglenook fireplace in the hall section.
