Description

Hawthorns is a house dating from the 15th century or earlier, originally an open hall house with a gabled crosswing at the east end. It is timber-framed and now plastered, with a red plain tile roof. The house has two storeys to the main block, and one storey with attics to the crosswing, featuring a four-window range of modern leaded casements. There is also one gabled dormer window. Some timber framing is exposed internally. A first floor was inserted in the 16th century.
