Description

Hall Cottage is a house dating from the mid-15th century. It is constructed of timber framing with plaster and has a red plain tile roof. The building has two storeys, features a gabled and jettied front, and includes a flanking wing and a staircase tower. There is one window range with modern casements. A large stepped red brick chimney stack, dating from the late 16th century, is also present. The original timber frame is virtually complete, with some of it exposed internally, showcasing jowled storey posts and cambered tie beams.
