Description

Rose Cottage, located in Workhouse Yard, is an 18th-century cottage that is timber framed and plastered, featuring a half hipped, gambrel, thatched roof. The building has one storey and attics, with one eyebrow dormer on the south side and three similar dormers on the north side. A red brick stack is positioned along the ridgeline. The east gable includes a square bay that has a hipped roof covered with peg tiles, which was added in the 20th century. All the windows are 20th-century casements with small panes.
