Description

Sparrows Cottage is a late 17th century cottage located on the east side of Cage End in Hatfield Broad Oak. It is timber framed and plastered, with the framing exposed at the rear. The cottage has two storeys and consists of two bays, featuring a large central rectangular stack along the ridge line. The front of the building has 19th century two-light casements with small panes. Inside, there are cambered tie beams and straight bracing. A lean-to structure is present at the rear. This cottage is included for its group value.
