Description

Rose Cottage is a late 17th or early 18th century cottage located on the west side of High Street in Croxton. It is a timber-framed building, now plastered, with a long straw thatched roof. A stack is located behind the ridge, with the upper courses of the stack rebuilt. The cottage has a single storey and attic, arranged in a three-unit plan. It features a boarded door in a lobby entry position, two horizontal sliding sash windows on the ground floor, and a casement dormer window. The interior retains exposed timber framing.
