Description

Lindsey Cottage, located immediately south of Myrune Cottage, is a cottage dating from the late 17th century. It has a timber frame that is cased in early 19th-century brick and features a long straw hipped thatched roof. The cottage has a local red brick ridge stack and is one storey with an attic, following a three-unit plan. There are three casement windows on the ground floor and a boarded door positioned to the right of center. A casement dormer window is also present. Inside, the cottage retains 17th-century floor frames and roof trusses, with the original layout including a service end that is divided into a pantry and buttery.
