Description

This is a late 17th-century cottage located in Barrington. It is timber-framed with roughcast rendering and a long-straw thatched roof, half-hipped in shape, featuring a ridge stack. The cottage has a lobby entry and a three-bay plan, with one storey and an attic. There are two gabled dormers containing 19th-century horizontal sliding sash windows. The ground floor has four windows, including a 19th-century horizontal sliding sash, and two small casements. A doorway leads to the lobby. Inside, there are sealed abutting inglenooks, an original staircase, and late 17th-century timber framing exposed in the northwest section.
