Description

Riddy House is a late 17th-century cottage located on the north-west side of Riddy Lane in Bourn. The building is timber-framed and has been rough cast rendered, with a thatched roof. A red brick ridge stack is present. The cottage is one storey high with an attic, and follows a three-unit lobby entry plan. A flush panelled door is sheltered by a gabled canopy. There are three horizontal sliding sash windows on the ground floor, and three similar sash windows in dormer windows. Inside, the cottage features stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops, and a fireplace with a three-centred brick arch.
