Description
Home Farmhouse is a farmhouse that was formerly known as the Greyhound public house. It is dated 1842 on a plaque located on the gable and incorporates a late 17th century building along with an 18th century extension. The structure features a red brick casing with some rendered timber framing and has plain tile roofs. A tall late 17th century ridge stack made of red brick has four shafts of local brick. The original building is a two-storey T-plan from the 17th century, with additions to the southeast, northeast, and west. There is a 19th century embattled porch at the angle of the two main ranges, which includes one large and one small horizontal sliding sash window set in segmental brick arches to the right, along with two first floor horizontal sliding sash windows above. Inside, the farmhouse has ogee-moulded and stop-chamfered beams, as well as an exposed floor frame.
