Description

Gatehouse Farmhouse is a house with a crosswing to the right, dating from the 16th century or earlier, with later additions and alterations. It is timber framed and plastered, topped with a red plain tiled roof that features three flat head dormers and an outshot over a 20th-century glazed porch with a boarded door. The building is two storeys high and has a two-by-two arrangement of 20th-century square leaded casement windows. There are two red brick chimney stacks. To the right, there is a single-storey extension with a red tiled roof. Records indicate that a farmhouse has existed on this site since 1327.
