Description
Buckcroft is a house that dates back to the early 16th century, featuring a crosswing, with a late 16th century or early 17th century main house. It stands two storeys high, with a gabled crosswing on the right and a lean-to on the left. There is a modern two-storey gabled central addition that includes a gabled tiled porch. The roofs are covered with plain red tiles. The structure is timber framed and plastered, with four 20th-century windows and a 20th-century board door that has a light. Inside, there are chamfered beams throughout, an off-centre chimney with three attached diagonal shafts, and a square chimney stack on the left. The roof features a crown post and a double cambered tie beam, with diminished haunches on the floor joists.
