Description

The Granary, located to the east of Chaffix, is a house that has been restored from a 16th-century granary. It has two storeys and features a plain red tile roof. The building is timber framed, with sections that are plastered and others that are weatherboarded. There is a gabled crosswing that projects forward to the left. The ground floor has a 1:2 range of windows, while the first floor has a 1:3 range, both consisting of 20th-century casement windows. A 20th-century half-glazed door is set beneath a red tiled porch supported by straight brackets. The original granary frame is still visible inside the building.
