Description

This is a house dating from the 16th century, with extensions added in the 17th century and later alterations. It is two storeys high on the main part of the building, and single-storey to the right. The roof is covered with red plain tiles. The house is timber-framed and most of the walls are plastered. The left-hand gable is jettied, with moulded brackets and a bressumer (a projecting beam) supporting the overhanging upper floor, and contains a single window. Above are three windows on the first floor. The ground floor has six windows, generally with 20th-century casement windows. A board door is sheltered by a flat canopy supported on brackets. An external red brick chimney is situated on the right, and a central stack has four square shafts attached.
