Description

The house, known as Yew Tree Farmhouse, dates back to the 18th century, though it may incorporate an earlier structure, with later additions and alterations. The building is timber-framed and rendered with a red plain tile roof on the outshots and at the rear. It is two storeys high, with a two-window frontage on the ground floor and a three-window frontage on the first floor. The central first-floor window has a round head and glazing bars, while the other windows are small-paned vertical sliding sashes. A central entrance features a six-panel door approached by steps with a pediment above. Red brick chimney stacks are located on the right and left sides. A possible brick bake oven with a red tiled roof is situated on the left. A building was recorded on the site as early as 1678.
