Description

Green Farmhouse is a house dating from the 16th century, with a timber-framed and plastered front range built around 1700, and a later rear range of the same period. The roofs are covered in red plain tiles, with a 20th-century single-storey red-tiled porch extension to the right. The house is two storeys high with attics. It features a two-window front with square leaded casement windows and sliding sashes, and a small central casement window on the first floor. A 20th-century plank and muntin door leads into the extension. There are red brick chimney stacks for each range. Original staircase handrails and newels, along with some doors and ironmongery from around 1700, have been preserved. The house incorporates a 16th-century three-bay building with a raised floor and a rebuilt chimney stack.
