Description
"Canonfylde" is a house that dates from the mid-16th century or earlier, with later additions and alterations. The gable at the east end of the crosswing is dated 1616. It features a red plain tile roof covering the central range and the left and right crosswings. The right crosswing has a jettied first floor supported by two brackets. The building has a single-storey central hall and two-storey crosswings. The window arrangement consists of a 1:2:1 pattern of leaded casements. There are three red brick chimney stacks, with the center stack being a modern diagonal shaft. The entrance includes a plank and muntin door.
