Description
Cart Lodge, Store and Barn, located 20 metres southeast of Manwood Farmhouse, date from the 17th and 18th centuries and are timber framed. They form an 'L' shape on the north and east sides of the farmyard. The barn features black weatherboarded walls and large doors on the west side, topped with a hipped roof that has a gablet made of corrugated iron. The store has a gabled roof covered in peg tiles and is also black boarded. The cartshed originally had an open side, which is now infilled with render and supported by arch braces, and it has a peg tile roof that slopes down to a lean-to at the west end. The barn consists of five bays with jowled posts and straight bracing to the tie beams, which interrupt the side wall studs. It has a side purlin roof supported by 'V' struts, some of which are jowled. All these structures are included for their group value.
