Description

These are two cottages, dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. They are timber-framed and have been plastered with decorative 20th-century pargetting. The roofs are thatched, with one half-hip and the other half-hipped, and contain three flat-headed dormers. Generally, the cottages have a three-window range of small-paned casement windows, although the ground floor has two horizontal sliding sash windows. A plain board door is set beneath a small pentice overhang. There is a central red brick chimney stack, featuring an original fireplace, and a further red brick stack to the right. The ground floor retains stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops.
