Description
Taylor and Partners Estate Agents Corner Shop is a shop located at No. 18 South Street in Manningtree. It dates from the 18th century or earlier and has undergone later alterations and rear additions. The building is constructed of painted brick, with a plastered right return gable, and the tie plates on the left return suggest a timber frame. It features a red plain tiled gambrel roof and a rear red brick chimney stack. The shop is two storeys high with attics and has a dentilled eaves cornice. On the first floor, there are two 19th-century vertically sliding sash windows. The ground floor has a shop front with a central doorway flanked by separate windows on the right and left. This building is included for its group value.
