Description

James Newsagents is a shop located on the south side of Manningtree High Street. It dates from the 18th century, although it may have earlier origins, and has undergone some later alterations. The building features a brick facade and a red pantile roof, with a red brick chimney stack on the left side. It stands two storeys high and has a two-window range of small-paned vertically sliding sashes, with the left window being tripartite. The shop front is from the 20th century, featuring a central door between the windows and an additional door to the right. The building is included for its group value context.
