Description
This is a milepost located on the west verge, approximately 10 metres north of Lodge Lane. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of cast iron. The milepost has a triangular shape with a flat head that reads "To London, 55 Ardleigh." The left side indicates "Harwich 17," while the right side shows "Colchester 4." It is part of a series of similar mileposts.
