Description
De Bois Hall is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier for the front range, with rear ranges added in the 18th century and later alterations and additions. The building is timber framed, possibly with a plastered brick facade, and features a central band. It has a red plain tiled roof and end chimney stacks. The house is two storeys high and has a two-window range of vertically sliding sashes with glazing bars, along with bays on the ground floor. A central gabled porch contains a 20th-century door. At the rear range, there is a moulded rainwater head dated 1724. Inside, much of the frame is covered, but stop-chamfered bridging joists and flat section ceiling beams are visible.
