Description
This house, known as Gun Fleet, dates to around 1860. It is constructed of brick with a stucco finish, and stands three storeys high with a basement. The building features a prominent cornice with heavy brackets, and a band below it. The second floor has six narrow, round-headed windows. To the right and left are two-storey, angled sections with three round-headed windows each, featuring moulded cornices, brackets supporting projecting sills, twisted iron sill railings, and an ornate vase with handle balusters. Pargetted spandrels and moulded surrounds are found on the windows. The first floor has two tall, central, round-headed windows, all with vertically sliding sashes. The central entrance has a six-panelled door with a round-headed fanlight, a moulded surround, pargetted spandrels, a frieze, and a moulded, flat canopy. A stepped approach leads to the entrance, with stucco panels on the low side walls. A basement window is located on the right side of the building.
