Description

A pair of early 19th century houses located in Saville Street, Walton-on-the-Naze. The houses are constructed of plastered brick with grey slate roofing and end red brick chimney stacks. They are three storeys high, with basements. Each house features a full-height bow window to the left and right. The window arrangement is a 1:2:1 pattern of small-paned vertically sliding sashes, with smaller windows on the second floor. The inner two bays have plain window surrounds. The bow pilasters have moulded capitals and bases, with moulded top rails; the ground and first floor pilasters are of three lights. Cast iron balconies with rosette and anthemion motifs are positioned on the first floor. A central rectangular porch is accessed by steps, featuring two moulded round-headed arches and sidelights. The front doors are two-panelled with four lights and moulded surrounds. Two round-headed first-floor windows are located at the rear.
