Wine bar, former public house. Early to mid C19. Rendered brick with Welsh slate Mansard roof behind high parapet. 2 storeys attics and cellars. EXTERIOR: Market Street elevation has 2 flat-roofed dormers behind parapet, which has 5 recessed panels like blind window openings. Below this is a moulded string band. First floor has 3 square recesses, the centre one with a small pane tripartite double-hung sash window and the outer ones with conventionally proportioned double-hung sash windows centrally placed. Either side there are blind window recesses. Ground floor has arcaded public house front with deep fascia and modillioned cornice. Of 9 bays separated by tall narrow banded rusticated piers with capitals of adorned consoles. Between these are plain semicircular arches and majority have glazed infillings. NE bay has entrance door and NW corner has splayed entrance lobby behind corner pier. 2 cast-iron grilles to basement. Church Street elevation similar with one dormer, 2 slightly recessed double-hung sash windows with small panes on first floor and 3 bays of arcade on ground floor. Large ridgeline stack.
