Description
Anvil Cottage, located to the west of Church Cottage and St. Edmundsbury, is a house that may now function as two dwellings. It dates from the 18th century or earlier and has undergone later alterations. The building is timber framed and plastered, topped with a red plain tiled roof that is hipped to the left, featuring double ranges. There are red brick chimney stacks on both the right and left sides. The cottage is two storeys high and has a two-window range of small paned vertically sliding sashes, some of which have thick glazing bars. The right and left sides have 20th-century glazed doors. This building is included for its group value.
