Description

Bay House is a house with an attached rear outbuilding, dating from the 18th century or earlier. The building is timber framed and weatherboarded, while the taller rear section is constructed of brick and plaster. It features red plain tiled roofs, with a gable facing the road that has bargeboards and a finial. To the right, there is an outshot with an attached hipped single-storey outbuilding, currently used as a garage. The house has left, right, and rear chimney stacks, with the left stack built in English bond. It is one storey high with attics.

The gable has a small paned vertically sliding sash window with shutters. The ground floor includes a hipped red tiled angled bay roof with vertically sliding sashes that have glazed margins and moulded surrounds. The right side has a four-panelled two-light door with an arched frieze and a flat canopy supported by brackets. There is a 19th-century three-light window in the outshot, and the outbuilding has double vertically boarded doors. The building also features return gutters on brackets.
