Description
41 and 43 West Street is a pair of shops that features 18th century elements, possibly of earlier origin. The building is faced with painted brick and has a red plain tiled gambrel roof, along with a large red brick chimney stack on the left. It has a dentilled eaves cornice and consists of two storeys with attics, including two catslide corners.
On the first floor, there are small paned vertically sliding sash windows. For No. 41, there is a plain shop window on the left with a fascia above it, and a round-headed doorway to the right that has a 20th century door. No. 43 features a 20th century door on the left with an original moulded surround, frieze, and flat canopy, and a shop window on the right with eight panes.
