Description
67 and 69 West Street are a pair of cottages dating from the 18th century. They are timber framed and weatherboarded, topped with a red plain tiled gambrel roof. At the rear, there is a red brick chimney stack. The cottages are one storey with attics and feature three flat-headed dormers, which are in a 19th-century style with two-light casements and centre transoms.
The front has a three-window range: the left window is fixed with two mullions, the central window is a small paned vertically sliding sash, and the right window is a shop window with four mullions and a centre transom. There is a four-panelled door to the left and a vertically boarded door between the centre and right windows, both set in simple surrounds.
To the right angle and return, there is a hipped painted brick lean-to extension, which has a door at the angle and a four-light window with a central transom on the right return, topped with a fixed metal canopy.
