Description
No. 82 West Street is a house dating from around 1800, with earlier and 19th-century additions at the rear. The building is timber framed and plastered, with a weatherboarded plinth and a red plain tiled roof. It features a red brick chimney stack on the left and a right chimney stack with decorative bands and capping. The house has a moulded eaves cornice and is two storeys high. The front has a three-window range of small paned vertically sliding sash windows with shutters. There is a central porch that is plastered and weatherboarded, which has a six-panelled door with a fluted surround and patera, a fanlight with glazing bars, and a flat canopy supported by moulded brackets. The rear range has wide sash windows with shell panes.
