Description

No. 54 High Street is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is timber-framed with roughcast render and has a painted brick plinth. The roof is a plain tiled mansard style, and there are red brick external end stacks. The building has two storeys and attics, with a symmetrical three-bay façade. The entrance features a six-flush-panelled door set in a reeded doorcase with a flat canopy above. On the ground floor, there are two twelve-paned hung sash windows with flush frames, while the first floor has three horizontal sliding sash windows, and there are two more in the attic.
