BARLING MAGNA LITTLE WAKERING TQ 98 NW LITTLE WAKERING ROAD 12/49 No. 173 ("Brays") 29.8.78 II House. C17 or earlier with later additions and alterations. Timber framed and plastered. Long red plain tiled roof, 4 hipped dormers off centre rear and external right red brick chimney stacks, that to right with stepped offsets and 2 diagonal shafts. One storey and attics. 5 window range of leaded 2-light casements. Door opposite rear chimney stacks, simple surround flat canopy on brackets. Rear lean-to and gabled roof to part plastered, part weatherboarded stair turret. Date 1634 inscribed in plaster.
