House. C15 or earlier origin. C16 and later additions and alterations. Mainly timber framed and plastered with a C16 brick range to right and a C19 gabled left forward wing. Red plain tiled roofs. High roof level to left rear range, this with red brick attached diagonal shaft chimney stack to ridge. Attached diagonal shaft chimney to left of forward crosswing. Square red brick chimney stack to front of right range. Of complex plan, the crosswings of the original house have been destroyed, also part of the C16 addition. There are various later additions. 2 storeys. One window range to each build excepting to right which has also a blocked original moulded, 3 light brick window with mullions. The left gable has vertically sliding sashes with glazing bars. Other windows of 3 lights, some leaded and some of C17. Clasping pilasters to right angles. C20 glazed door with moulded pediment and brick surround to gable right return. RCHM 3.
