Description
This building is a cottage from the late 17th century, with later alterations. It has a timber frame that is faced with red brick and features a red plain tiled gambrel roof. There is a red brick chimney stack and an iron tie on the left side, along with a buttress at the right angle. The cottage is one storey high with attics, and it includes one gabled dormer and two catslide dormers. There are four two-light square leaded casements with segmental heads. To the right, there is a 20th-century glazed door accompanied by 19th or 20th-century shutters. A red tiled gabled porch is located on the right return. Inside, the cottage showcases exposed ceiling beams and through bracing on the walls. Notable interior features include a red brick angle fireplace with a semi-circular back, chamfered bridging joists, and a halved and bladed top plate scarf.
