Description

This cart lodge, located approximately 40 metres west of Poplar Grove Farmhouse, dates from the early 18th century. It is constructed from timber framing and is weatherboarded, featuring a half-hipped roof covered with red pantiles. The structure consists of three bays and has a 20th-century lean-to on the north side. Notable architectural details include hanging knees supporting cambered tie beams, a double braced wall frame, and a lodged side purlin roof.
